Ricky Shah earned his Juris Doctor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2019. During his time at Cardozo, Ricky received 1st Place Honors at the Law School Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition, was a member of the nationally recognized Moot Court Team, and eventually graduated cum laude with the Archie A. Gorfinkel Award, given annually to the graduate recognized to be the most promising and accomplished student entering the field of Criminal Law. Upon graduating, Ricky began his career as an Assistant D.A. at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, one of the most esteemed prosecutors office in the country. During his time at the Manhattan D.A.’s Office, Ricky prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, presented over 50 cases to the grand jury, and tried several cases, both felonies and misdemeanors, receiving a conviction in each one of his trials.

Driven by his dedication to advocacy in criminal law, Ricky established his own criminal defense firm with the primary goal of being able to offer affordable, high-quality legal representation for his clients, using cutting-edge, modern, legal methodology. Now, Ricky handles criminal and DUI cases in courts across all five New York City boroughs, as well as Suffolk, Nassau, and Westchester counties.

Attorney-client communication and transparency is also a key principle for Ricky. Ricky prioritizes attorney-client transparency and client care, and ensures his clients are always aware of whats going on with their case. However, we will always be present in-person with you during your court appearances, and are available by appointment to meet in-person at our conference center located at 43 W. 43rd St., Suite 175, New York, NY 10036. Establishing a fully virtual firm aligns with one of Ricky’s other principles of ensuring affordable legal defense, since many traditional law firm costs do not need to be passed on to the client.
